Hakuba
Sanroku Botanical Garden
Other than Hakuba's three big mountains,
Hakuba's main symbol is its botanical garden. In the garden
you will find 250 types of wild mountain grasses, mountain
vegetables, wild mushrooms, etc.
The
blueberries contain the same amount of vitamin C as lemons,
plus they contain 6 times the concentration of calcium
compared with milk making it a very healthy food to eat.

Hakuba
Blueberry Farm
|
Blueberries in Hakuba are raised with
lots of sunlight giving them a naturally occurring slightly
sweet and sour flavor. If you pick the blueberries yourself
the flavour is particularly good. The specially made jam is
great with ice cream or yogurt.

| Matsukawa
River Park The Matsukawa River overflows with water
so clear that you can see through to the bottom. The symbol
of Hakuba - the three mountains of Hakuba, the Hakuba Sanzan
mountains - gently and powerfully tower high as if keeping an
eye out. There are the Fureai-no-Mori and an onsen
"Kurashita-no-Yu" at the foot of Hakuba Ohashi Bridge. |
