Suwa Shrine is enshrined as a local deity in this area. It is registered as a designated cultural property of the village. The shade of the trees is cool in the precincts, but the air has a solemn atmosphere. The big tree of cedar is eye-catching. It’s very good.

One of the 100 best roads in Japan. It is the most famous spot in the village as a spot where you can see Shirouma Sanzan beautifully. The harmony between the Shirouma mountain range and the clear stream seen from here is wonderful. There are also open-air baths and campsites nearby.

Matsukawa Bridge is a spot where you can see the three mountains of Hakuba beautifully. Turn left at the intersection just ahead of Matsukawa Bridge, and the Matsukawa River Road is just around the corner. It is a wide and comfortable road that almost no cars pass through.
