Take the old highway "Shio no Michi" leading to the Sea of Japan to Tsugaike Kogen. A route where you can feel the ancient taste of stone Buddha statues and shrines
Sport bike beginner
Start at Hakuba Station and gently climb the road along Matsukawa. The scenery of the Northern Alps spreading in front of you is very impressive. A group of stone Buddha statues in Kirikubo and Kirifurimiya Kirikubo Suwa Shrine appear on the way, and there are plenty of things to see. If you go down a long straight slope toward Tsugaike Panorama Bridge, you will arrive at the turning point, Tsugaike Kogen. The snow-covered slopes in winter are crowded with the latest activities in summer. On the way back, take a detour to the stone Buddhas in Kannonhara and the watermill to Hakuba Station, the goal.
The park was created in collaboration with local residents and Hakuba Village from 2002 to 5 years, and is now one of the representative tourist attractions of Hakuba Village. The Tsugaike Panorama Bridge, which opened in 2013, stretches straight and feels good. Be careful not to overspeed! Just across the Tsugaike Panorama Bridge, the Tsugaike Kogen is an old-fashioned cityscape, lined with restaurants and souvenir shops.

Suwa Shrine is enshrined as a local deity in this area. It is registered as a designated cultural property of the village. The shade of the trees is cool in the precincts, but the air has a solemn atmosphere. The big tree of cedar is eye-catching. It’s very good.

Matsukawa Bridge is a spot where you can see the three mountains of Hakuba beautifully. Turn left at the intersection just ahead of Matsukawa Bridge, and the Matsukawa River Road is just around the corner. It is a wide and comfortable road that almost no cars pass through.

From the road on the mountain side, you can see the surface of the lake shining in emerald green through the gaps between the trees. From the road on the other side, one cherry tree that stands out after passing Yanabaskijo Station is popular.

At the Lake Kisaki campsite, speak to the staff at the entrance and push your bicycle to enter the campsite. The one pier that stretches out to the surface of the lake in the hall is a spot that became famous because it became a location for anime and movies.
